Reading, remembering, & realizing....

Sitting up late tonight, not feeling sleepy & letting Mike sleep
without getting disturbed by my restless movements.
Decided to revisit my blog and began to read.
Went way back to the beginning....reading, looking at photos,
remembering sweet times with family & friends,
remembering the joys of living aboard the Cape Dorset,
and realizing how quickly time passes, the years go by,
and the grandchildren are growing & more have arrived!

I think it may be time to begin recording memories again.
Maybe not all in a regular timeline, so much has happened in the
years since I last posted a blog; but choosing memories here &
there to share with my family & friends. So I can look back
and remember treasures of time spent with loved ones,
finding beauty in the space around me,
finding joy again in this journey God has blessed me with.

Moving in Day!!

Today we begin moving in to our new rental home, the little farm cottage on Fir Island. It's a quirky little 1917 farmhouse/cottage that comes complete with wonky floors, small bedrooms, funky kitchen, and all the perks of a very old house! Come to find out this little house was once a general store (that's why the living room is so large) and was barged to this place! We will research this more later. I am just happy that the living room is large; generally houses of this era have small rooms so this living room area is a huge bonus! I will post pictures later....

We are officially ashore again...

Goodbye Cape Dorset, our home for the last 3 years.
It's hard to believe that our boat is moving to Seattle
and we will live ashore again. It has been a wonderful
adventure to liveaboard and enjoy the gentle movement
of the boat, the peaceful times spent enjoying a cup of coffee
and watching other boats go by, and the trips we made with her.
I know we are looking forward to seeing what new adventure is
ahead, for now we will rent for awhile and get adjusted to
living in a regular house again.

Change has arrived....

Well, today change has arrived and the Cape Dorset (our home for the last 3 years) is now officially sold and we are getting ready to move on to our next adventure! Looking forward to what's ahead, and seeing what God has in store for us. (Guess this means I will have to re-name my blog as well as we will be moving ashore!)
