a little time with my cowboys!

Hannah & my little cowboys came for a visit.
I'm just looking.....really!

S hard at play

the boys love time spent with grampa!
(note my new washer/dryer combo unit in background!!)

Sleepy C

A fun afternoon, Grampa took N to great grama &
grampa's house so Hannah, S & C got to spend the
afternoon with me. We did a Wii obstacle challenge course,
it was hysterical to watch little S attempting to
get his wii character to run - hard to do when you don't
weigh much! When Mommy told him to run, he did.....
right to the back door!!

The view from our place.......

This is one of my favorite views of La Conner!
(zoomed in a bit)

view from the bow.

a great spot to head out for a paddle

glad to be next door again by Channel Lodge
(port view when the neighbor is off on a trip).

Rainbow Bridge

We are glad to be back in our orginal spot on the north end
of La Conner. It feels much more cheery
& I love the walk in to town,
especially when we have visitors!

diaper cake!

 50 (new) disposable diapers,
3 receiving blankets,
1 baby bib made by Bonnie,
coordinating ribbon,
1 package of link toys,
& a cute pair of rattle booties
= a sweet diaper cake!
Aubrey & I created this one, it was my first
but Aubrey has been making them for baby showers
for awhile now. It definitely takes 2 people to put them together!

We used the receiving blankets for the 'fondant' icing!

These booties made a sweet cake topper!
A fun project, a great time spent with Aubrey!

baby, it's cold outside!!!

Just a few glimpses of the snow storm
that hit the county last week.
We didn't get hit as badly as Burlington,
Mount Vernon or Sedro Woolley,
but we sure felt the COLD!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

looking arctic!

snow was falling thick & fast

my hyacinths survived!

We were glad to be warm & cozy in our boat!

Cozy Coffee.......

Hannah & I spent a fun afternoon together.
We decided to make felt coffee sleeves,
maybe the peppermint/vanilla latte' &
white chocolate peppermint mocha
we were enjoying inspired us!
We definitely felt creative and enjoyed our time together!

Hannah begins her design.

She decided on a herringbone pattern with her
plaid pieces & began the handstitching process.

N diligently crafting with us.

Hannah's final creation!

I like the woodgrain buttons!

My design.

Whimsical butterfly.

I even got the rickrack lined up!

I like the 3D effect!

A lot of cutting, handstitching, love & laughter
as we spent an afternoon simply enjoying each other's company!
I love time spent with Hannah and my little cowboys!
S & C were napping during this time, while
N loved having a special time with Mommy & Grammy.

Camping with Hannah, Simeon & Boys ~ Grayland, August 2010

Camping at Grayland has been a family tradition since before
Mike & I left the Ranch. Our friend has allowed us to use
his lot for our family campouts, and we have been so blessed!
This year we enjoyed our time with Hannah, Simeon,
T, N, S & C. It was wonderful to get away
& spend time with them. Hannah & I spent most of our time at the
campsite, next year we will be able to go to the beach as C
will be walking then....makes it much easier! She & I did get to
go explore the antique/junk stores and have a coffee together.

We almost always have sunny weather!

S is Poppa's boy!

The guys gathered oysters.......

.....it's a dirty job, but someone's got to do it!

Hannah was very happy with the camp trailer
they were able to use!

C

N liked the door opening.

it was perfect for growling through!

We are planning next year's campout...this time we are all hoping
to be together. Caitlin had to work, and Bill & Aubrey were hosting
their Japanese student Sairi so they were unable to come this year.
Grayland 2011 should be a blast!
